There is something rather magical about tiny things. A tiny acorn on a woodland walk. A single colourful leaf drifting onto the pavement. The first pumpkin spotted outside a front door. They aren't grand gestures, but somehow they make us smile. That's exactly how the idea for my Pocket Pumpkins came to life.
When I sat down to design them, I didn't want to create just another box of wax melts. I wanted to create something that felt like discovering a little piece of autumn. Something you could open on an ordinary Tuesday and instantly feel that the season had arrived.
Inside each little kraft box are hand-poured pumpkins and autumn leaves, nestled together like treasures collected on a crisp autumn afternoon. They're small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, but I hope they bring something much bigger, a feeling of warmth, comfort and home.
I often think that autumn isn't about rushing towards Halloween or counting down to Christmas. It's about those quieter moments in between.
The first evening you close the curtains a little earlier. A favourite mug filled with something warm. A blanket across your knees. The comforting fragrance drifting from your wax burner while the world outside slows down. Those are the moments I think about while I'm pouring each melt.
One of the things I love most about running Melting Moments is knowing that something I've made in my little workspace in Yorkshire might become part of someone else's evening ritual. Perhaps you'll melt one while reading a book, watching your favourite film, or simply enjoying a few peaceful minutes after a busy day.
If these little Pocket Pumpkins become part of those moments, then they've done exactly what I hoped they would. Because sometimes the smallest things bring the greatest comfort. And perhaps that's what autumn teaches us best of all. To slow down. To notice. And to find joy in the little moments.🤍
Thank you for letting Melting Moments be a small part of your autumn.
